April 08 Worksop Cricket ground.

Saturday was spent mooching around Worksop, then at night we had a camp fire which smoked out the moggies new awning.
On sunday we all went for a walk by the canal.

May 08 Lea Cross farm, Shrewsbury.

This was an attractive site with fishing ponds.
On saturday we took the bus in to Shrewsbury and spent the day there with the statutory visit to a local pub. On the sunday it rained quite a bit, we went for a drive and met up with some of the others later at Church Stretton.
Monday it cleared up and we were able to have a walk.

July 08 Windmill Farm, Baston fen.

This weekend turned out to be really warm, We virtually had the site to ourselves. We took a ride into Bourne on Saturday morning but the rest of the time was spent lazing around. The midges were out in force so some of us were suffering for a few days after.

Aug 08 Poolsbrook country park CC site, Chesterfield.
On Saturday we went for a walk and met up with the others in Chesterfield, it was a very wet day.
on Sunday we went walking around the lakes.

Sept 08 Houghton Mill, Cambs.

This was the weekend of the St Ives beer festival, so that was Friday night taken up, there were a few sore heads the next day. When everyone could get going on Saturday morning, we took a pleasant walk into St Ives.

Sunday morning we all went blackberrying.

Though Rea did very well she couldn't walk distances so Dawn took her in a push chair, Sadly it was her last meet with the Sagas.

Oct 08 Dirty Duck, Woolsthorpe b
y Belvior.

We went to Bellton House on Saturday and met up with the others in Grantham, some of them had cycled in along the canal.
After a meal at the pub we had the usual sing song in the evening, it was good because we had the site to ourselves.
On Sunday we went off for a walk.

May 09 Ashcroft farm, Evesham.

This weekend turned out to be very hot and again we found we almost had the site to ourselves.
We started the weekend early on Friday night, building a camp fire and singing and dancing into the early hours.
We walked in to Evesham on Saturday. On Sunday some went for a walk over the fields to a pub but we stayed on site chilling and went off walking later with Lucy and Sammy when it had cooled down.
This was Sammy's first outing with the Sagas.

Aug 09 Hilltop Farm Thrussington, Nr Melton Mowbray.
We spent Saturday morning in Melton and the rest of the time relaxing as the weather was good.
On Sunday we tried out archery, this was done on site and we really enjoyed it, ( NO Sagas were harmed in the process).

Aug 09 Colins Field, Nr Wainfleet, Lincs.

This was a really layed back weekend, the weather was good and it was 'back to basics' much like a hippy camp.
Colin put on a barby on Saturday and a good time was had by all until the wee small hours.

Aug 09 Lincoln Steam Rally.

Sat and Sun were spent around the steam rally, the days were fine but the nights were really cold.

Sept 09 Shelford Nurseries, Nr Nottingham.

Saturday saw us walking over the field to Radcliffe, then catching the bus back to the site, in the evening we caught the bus into Nottingham and did the ghost walk.
On Sunday we walked over the fields to Gunthorpe bridge, managing to get lost on the way and confronted by an angry farmer who promptly directed us to the foot path. Eventually we got there and had something to eat at the pub by the canal before walking back. (along the road).
