Winter Wonderland

As we are year round caravanners we never let the weather put us off, it can have some advantages because there are things we see in the winter that maybe we wouldn't any other times.

In December/January 2009/10 we went to Broadway in the Cotswolds we stayed at the caravan club site,
which is just a short walk from the small town. We went walking around Broadway Tower where there was still quite a lot of snow left from just before Christmas, the views were lovely.
Heres an example of something special, whilst we were on site, a little
robin would often come to visit, we were lucky to capture this on camera.

The very cold winter of 2010/11 brought on some real extremes in scenic views, here on the chatsworth estate the aquaduct and waterfall had frozen solid it was like a scene from Narnia, a real winter wonderland. (See my post Derbyshire, Chatsworth xmas New year 2010/11)

W
hen we stayed near Buxton at the caravan club site 'Grin Low', it was Easter but boy did it snow.

This picture shows how we found our awning one morning after heavy snow, Al had to squeeze out of the door, and of course what do you do in an emergency.....................you......... take a picture.

Then ..........you ...........build a snow man.

Whilst in Derbyshire we had a couple of nice walks around the Goyt Valley and reservoir, the views w
ere stunning, for us the snow made it even more magical.

A couple of years ago over New Year we stayed near Cromer, it was cold but it didn't put us off having a walk on the beach, we dared Al to go skinny dipping and after a double dare he took on the challenge.

Lucy loves the snow too............

...and of course she always likes to keep warm.
